Hey there! So sorry to all of you that I’ve been MIA these last couple of weeks! I hope my absence hasn’t stopped you from continuing with your 30 Days with Christ Challenge! I thought it would be fun today to share with all of you, my War Room set up where I’ve been spending my daily quiet time with God.
So, since we’re operating on a budget, I didn’t spend a penny on this set-up. I simply organized a space and included some things I already had.
This is the space I used… it’s our office/guest bedroom and it was kind of a wreck. We’re still trying to unpack from when we moved, and needless to say we aren’t doing a very neat job. So I started by clearing off the desk so I could set up a space that was comfortable for spending my quiet time with God.
Ah, clean desk (with coffee)… it’s perfect!
I added this framed print because it is one of my favorite things in our house! My mom bought it for me at the market in Charleston, SC several years ago, and it’s really a great way for me to calm my heart and mind to start my quiet time. It reads:
Calm your heart
Don’t let it race.
Decide today to
Change your pace.
Place your life and
All your plans into
God’s gentle hands
His hands are huge.
I also added this sweet little cup with all of the pens (and I’ve added my highlighters as well) that I use for making notes. My Mema painted this cup for me when I was a little girl, and it’s sat on my desk(s) as a pen holder for as long as I can remember.
I included some study resources, my prayer journal, and the Bible coloring chart I use, and I got this:
My War Room!
Keep chugging along with your 30 Days with Christ Challenge, and be sure to let me know how it’s going so far.
Where do you spend your quiet time with God? Do you have a War Room or special place, or do you spend your quiet time with Him wherever is convenient at the time?
